Dr. Isaac Agbemafle, a faculty member of University of Health and Allied Sciences School of Public Health (SPH) has donated 389 assorted books to the University library. The gesture, he said, was borne out of the need to increase the stock of books in the University library.
Dr. Agbemafle said, during his PHD studies at Iowa State University in the U.S., he was able to organise a book drive where his alma matter together with some of its faculty and students, as well as his foundation, donated towards the project. “I wanted to bring something back home aside from the knowledge I acquired,” he said.
Receiving the items on July 16, University Librarian Mr. Christian Yaw Kofi applauded the gesture and called on other members of staff to emulate it.
