Librarian
With much pleasure, I welcome you to UHAS Library. The Library promotes scholarship by making available and providing global access to information resources for anytime exploitation. We are here to support you in your studies, research and in making good use of our reference materials. We will help you to locate, select and acquire the information you need from what may seem like a rather daunting mountain of materials.
More than 40,000 scientific researches are published every day and the flood of information before us is overwhelming. This is bound to increase with further developments in technology. However, in the knowledge-based society, we focus on knowing the section of this vast information that is relevant to our progress of study and area of life.
Exploitation of information resources is a science in its own right that offers services from which you will benefit directly through the university library. This means that you have the opportunity to borrow materials required for study, teaching and learning.
It is my hope that you will use the library as a place for learning, interaction and innovation. You are welcome to make use of facilities comprising a growing collection of over 6000 print monographic materials and a host of subscribed online and digital resources in Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery, Medicine, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Basic and Biomedical Sciences. Advisory and training services are also provided by our professional staff to guide research, reference management and information ethics.
We partner with international and local libraries to deliver your information needs through interlibrary loans and other book protocols. We aim to provide you with the best possible services and I look forward to your visit.
Kind regards
Dr. Theresa Adu
